Elton John

This mega rock superstar shot into the musical stratosphere in 1970 with his self-titled album containing the ballad “Your Song.” In the seventies, he launched seven consecutive albums, each reaching number one in the US. No artist had previously accomplished this feat. Typical for Aries, John wheeled through his impressively prodigious career and several “farewell” tours. The last was the “Yellow Brick Road Tour” of 2022. His many honors include a knighthood awarded by Queen Elizabeth in 1998.

When being gay was considered a crime John revealed his bisexuality in a 1976 interview with The Rolling Stone. Later in 1992 he told the same magazine that he was quite comfortable with his sexuality, today he is recognized as one of the first gay artists to give a voice to the LGBT community.
