Lana Del Rey

Born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, she was a troubled teen. Del Rey's parents sent her to a private academy, which Lana admits was to sober her up. She had become obsessed with the inevitability of death, which drove her to alcoholism. This bleak start would not normally portend a brilliant career as a multi award-winning singer and songwriter, but Del Rey's genius tossed her a lifeline to fame.

Upon moving to New York City after graduation, her uncle taught her to play guitar. She "realized [that she] could probably write a million songs with those six chords." She began writing songs, played nightclubs around the city, attended college, recorded albums, and published her work on the internet. In her senior year, she earned her first record contract that served as a foothold into the music business and her developing recording career.

Originally named a Gemini due to an incorrect birth time, we now know that Lana is a sun sign Cancer. However, that sun is buried in the eighth house.
